The story

He is seven.

Every Sunday he sits with his grandmother.

She carries eighty years of stories. He carries a hundred questions.

They hold hands, because the words can't cross.

Between them stands a wall no one built, and everyone can feel.

We are taking it down.

Too often, it never arrives.

Not for lack of will, but because something stands in the way:
